Gabriele Voglgsang was born in 1958 in a small village near Munich,Germany where she spent her childhod.
In 1978 she received her degree at Fachoberschule Munich, specialisation art & design.
In 1984, she moved to Moraira, Alicante, where she found with two other partners a consulting company.
Since 1987 she has worked as an independent artist.
In 2002 she bought together with her husband an old Tyrolean style house in the Ötz Valley: Since completing the renovation and decoration of the house she lives part time in Austria.
The technique of the montage-behind glass has been developed by the artist herself.
The composition for a new art work starts always with the simple fascination with an ordinary everyday object, but through integration into the composition it acquires a greater meaning. Her art work can be found in private collections all over the world. |
